Cancer Care Class Ipswich

A diagnosis of cancer can take your breath away but yoga can give it back. This class is for anyone affected by cancer whether you’re newly diagnosed in recovery, post treatment (you can be many years post diagnosis/treatment). This is different from regular classes being specifically designed to provide safe therapeutic benefits physically and emotionally in a relaxed and supportive environment. Yoga can help restore motion and flexibility in a gentle, balanced manner. Encouraging the movement of fascia consistently and freely, which will help support and promote the overall health of our physical, emotional and mental well-being pre and post surgery. These classes can support you in many ways:  greater internal calm, help deal with stress, anxiety and depression. It strengthens the immune and lymphatic system, encouraging health and well-being.

Yoga movements (Asana) stimulates not just muscles, but also increases blood flow, balances the glands and enhances the lymphatic flow in the body, all of which enhances the body’s internal purification processes. Breathing (Pranayama), practiced in yoga therapy also increases the current of oxygen-rich blood to the cells, delivering vital nutrients to tired cells.
