Moving meditation with Sue
Free to join
Mondays 9 – 9.45am
Minka Place, Ripley
This class is less about the asana (moving) part of yoga and more about the subtle practices that benefit the mind and nervous system. We live in a busy world and we spend so much of our life doing and going, this class is designed to give you time to just be. You will explore various breath and mindfulness techniques, creating a calmer and more conscious state of being.
Don’t be fooled by the images of having to sit cross legged to meditate, you do not have to sit and be silent the whole class. Come and try real life techniques.

Teacher – Sue Stewart
Sue is a Yoga and Meditation Teacher and Ipswich local, who is passionate about promoting accessible and sustainable practices for people of all ages and abilities.
Sue recognises the physical, mental, spiritual and global benefits that a consistent, contemplative practice can offer and her interest is within helping others to find unique and sustainable practices for their own growth and development.

Saturday 9 – 10am
Blackstone Bushland Centre, Mary Street, Ipswich
This yoga class is designed for men, suitable for beginners and for those with more experience. Instructions are clear, with lots of options for anyone with tight muscles or stiff backs.
Daniel is a Jiu Jitsu instructor as well as a yoga teacher, so gives practical and useful ways to improve strength, function and mobility to support your physical, mental and emotional health.

Teacher – Daniel Couton
Daniel accidentally became a yoga teacher in an attempt to continue in his other past time, martial arts. Thirty years of martial arts training had taken a toll on his body and while he was keen to continue, he was spending more time manging injuries than training on the mat. Sneaking into daytime yoga classes he noticed an increase in his strength and flexibility resulting in a significant decrease in the frequency of injuries and a reduction in recovery times. Having a background in martial arts and a PhD in science Daniel has developed a practical teaching style focused on developing functional strength, flexibility and balance suitable for all levels. Daniel’s aim is to make yoga accessible to people who might not be comfortable practicing in a traditional studio environment.
